Overview

Discover the perfect balance of nature, culture, and local lifestyle on this full-day private adventure. Begin at the Phnom Kulen View Point, where sweeping panoramas of green forests and valleys stretch out beneath you. Continue to the River of a Thousand Lingas, an ancient sacred riverbed carved with Hindu symbols that once blessed the waters flowing to Angkor.

Atop the mountain, visit the Big Reclining Buddha, one of Cambodia’s most revered spiritual sites, carved directly into sandstone. Refresh your spirit at the Holy Waterfall, a two-tier cascade where locals bathe for purification and blessings—you’ll also have time to swim in the cool natural pool.

After lunch, head to Kampong Phluk Floating Village on the Tonle Sap Lake, where stilted homes rise high above the seasonal waters and life flows with the rhythm of the river. End the day with a breathtaking Tonle Sap Sunset, as the sky turns into a canvas of gold and purple above Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake.

This journey blends sacred mountains, ancient carvings, spiritual sites, refreshing waterfalls, and authentic floating village life—ending with one of Cambodia’s most spectacular sunsets.

ITINERARY

1. Phnom Kulen View Point: Start your day with a scenic stop overlooking lush jungles, valleys, and distant mountains. This refreshing viewpoint sets the tone for a day filled with culture, spirituality, and natural beauty.

2. River of a Thousand Lingas: Walk along the shallow riverbed where ancient Hindu carvings—lingas, lotus flowers, and deities—decorate the sandstone beneath the flowing water. These sacred symbols date back to the Angkor period and were believed to bless the kingdom with fertility and prosperity.

3. Big Reclining Buddha: Carved directly into a sandstone boulder atop Kulen Mountain, this massive reclining Buddha represents the moment of Nirvana. Draped in golden cloth and surrounded by incense, it’s both a spiritual pilgrimage site and an extraordinary cultural landmark.

4. Holy Waterfall: A two-tier waterfall hidden in the jungle. Locals bathe here for blessings, while visitors can relax or swim in the cool waters. You’ll enjoy time to refresh, take photos, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

🍴 Lunch Break: Savor a traditional Khmer lunch at a local restaurant with vegetarian options available.

5. Kampong Phluk Floating Village: Travel to Tonle Sap’s stilted village, where homes rise high above the water. Explore this fascinating community by boat, observing fishermen, floating markets, and families living in harmony with the changing lake.

6. Tonle Sap Sunset: End your day with a serene cruise on Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Watch the horizon glow with shades of gold, pink, and purple as the sun sets over the endless waters—a perfect closing scene for your journey.
