Overview

Kampong Phluk is a unique and fascinating floating village located on the Tonle Sap Lake. The village is characterized by houses built on towering stilts that can be up to 10 meters high. During the wet season, the lake’s water level rises dramatically, immersing the stilts and giving the impression that the houses are floating. During the dry season, the water recedes, revealing the stilted structures. The village is home to a community of fishermen and is also known for its “flooded forest,” a mangrove ecosystem that can be explored by boat.

Tonle Sap Sunset Experiencing a sunset over the Tonle Sap Lake is a truly memorable event. The vast expanse of the lake provides an unobstructed view of the sun as it dips below the horizon. As the day ends, the sky often transforms into a brilliant palette of oranges, pinks, and purples, casting a beautiful glow over the water. A sunset cruise on the lake offers the best vantage point to witness this stunning natural spectacle.

 Hotel Pick-up Included: Departure to pick-up from your hotel between 01:50-02:30 pm for an afternoon tour of Lifestyle. Kampong Phluk Floating Village, Tonle Sap Sunset. Please be ready at the hotel lobby by 01:40 pm.

 Kampong Phluk A fascinating floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake, where houses stand high on stilts to withstand seasonal floods. You can see everyday life on the water, from fishing boats to floating markets.

 Tonle Sap Sunset The day ends on the open waters of Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. As the sun sets, the sky transforms into brilliant shades of gold, orange, and purple, mirrored by the gentle waves—perfect for photos and quiet reflection.

 Return Back​ to Siem Reap: Transfer you back to the Siem Reap downtown and it is possible to drop you off, either at your hotel or Old market area. You are supposed to be back to your hotel by 7:20 PM.
