Overview
The Viewpoint: Located on Phnom Kulen mountain, this viewpoint offers a stunning, panoramic vista of the surrounding Siem Reap countryside. From this high elevation, you can see the lush jungle stretching out for miles, often with a clear view of the landscape below. It’s a popular spot for tourists to take photos and appreciate the natural beauty of the area.
Linga (River of a Thousand Lingas) Located at Phnom Kulen, the “River of a Thousand Lingas” is an extraordinary archaeological site. Beneath the surface of a small river, ancient carvings of lingas (phallic symbols representing the Hindu god Shiva) are etched into the sandstone riverbed. Alongside these, you’ll find carvings of Hindu deities like Vishnu and Brahma, as well as various animals. These carvings were created to bless the river’s water before it flowed down to the plains, where it irrigated the rice fields of the Khmer Empire.
Big Buddha Reclining (Preah Ang Thom) Situated on the highest point of Phnom Kulen, this is a very significant religious site. The main attraction is a massive, reclining Buddha statue carved out of a giant sandstone boulder. The statue, known as Preah Ang Thom, is a place of pilgrimage for Cambodians who come to pray and offer incense. The site is a serene and spiritual location, often surrounded by offerings and the scent of burning incense.
Holy Waterfall (Phnom Kulen Waterfall) This is a beautiful two-tiered waterfall located within the Phnom Kulen National Park. The lower tier is a wide, powerful cascade that flows into a large natural pool, perfect for swimming and cooling off. The upper tier is smaller but equally picturesque. The waterfall is considered a sacred site by locals, who believe the water has purifying properties. The surrounding area is a popular picnic spot for families and tourists.

ITINERARY
Hotel Pick-up Included: Departure to pick-up from your hotel 08:30 am for a day tour of Viewpoint, Lingas, Big Reclining Buddha, Holy Waterfall. Please be ready at the hotel lobby by 08:30 am.
🏞️ View Point (Valley View, Phnom Kulen) A scenic stop with sweeping panoramas of lush forests and distant mountain ranges. It’s a great place to breathe in fresh air, take photos, and appreciate the untouched beauty of Phnom Kulen National Park.
🌊 River of a Thousand Lingas A shallow, sacred river with ancient sandstone carvings of lingas (Hindu fertility symbols) and other motifs right on the riverbed. These 09th–10th century carvings were believed to bless the flowing water for fertility and prosperity downstream.
🙏 Big Reclining Buddha One of Cambodia’s largest reclining Buddha statues, carved directly into the rock atop Kulen Mountain. It’s a revered pilgrimage site with a peaceful atmosphere, incense offerings, and sweeping views nearby.
💦 Holy Waterfall A two-tiered waterfall, both scenic and spiritual, where locals and visitors bathe or splash in the cool waters for blessings. In the rainy season, the flow is powerful and misty; in the dry season, it becomes calmer and more swim-friendly.
Return Back to Siem Reap: Transfer you back to the Siem Reap downtown and it is possible to drop you off, either at your hotel or Old market area. You are supposed to be back to your hotel by 04:00 PM.
